The Colony Wells Fargo (What a joke) money-sucking leaches, complete ripoff, money made off of overdraft fees, PITIFUL, UNCARING, MGRS

This company doesn't care about the customers at all, they only care about how much money they can take from you. Due to my stupidity I stuck with this money hungry company for 5 years. Wells Fargo is guilty of taking peoples money through overdraft fees. They are supposed to post all credits before they post debits, but I think if they know they can suck more money out of you they do. If you have 6 checks coming in and enough money to pay 5 of them, they will take the biggest check first, and then bounce the rest. I remember being in a class action suit against Bank of America for this very reason, because they are not supposed to do this.

According to The Colony branch manager (Connie Shenk) it is for our best interest because usually the bigger checks are the most important ones. I can see if it said Mortgage, House Insurance, Car Payment, Credit Card Payment. They don't look at that though, they just assume. I work to far away from my home branch to be able to get there before work or after, but according to all the other banks that I went to, to try and get help, you have to go to your home branch where you opened the account. Because no other branch can help you, god forbid you move out of state, and have a problem. I guess your screwed same as if you live in the same state. Connie Shenk was rude, talked down to me, and just a smart ass, WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE CONNIE, WAY TO GO, I'M SURE YOU HAVE RAN OFF QUITE A FEW CUSTOMERS WITH YOUR NEGATIVE ATTITUDE.

Let me tell you my situation, and why I am switching Bank. (They are about the customer there) About two weeks ago, I had my days mixed up and accidentally paid my Bill Pays 1 day early, the day before my DIRECT DEPOSIT CAME IN. Now you would think that obviously I wouldn't do this on purpose, because of the charges that would insue (once again stupid me) the bill pays usually take 3-5 days anyways depending on where they are going right? Well be the bank the cares about their supposedly, you would think that they would notice my DIRECT DEPOSIT coming through that very same night. No they don't even look at how long you have been a dedicated customer, or whether you've signed up for another one of their services, so once again I got hit with over $200 in overdraft fees. They took them right out of that direct deposit that they didn't notice the night before. (How Convenient)

Well obviously I didn't understand why a bank would do that when it is obvious that every week my direct deposit goes in like clockwork. So I called that wonderful 800 number. After going through all of the automated bullshit and finally got a live person, I was told I needed to speak with someone in Bill Pay to ask about the charges... 20 minutes later, I hang up and call right back, went thru the same bullshit... Another 20 minutes (ON MY CELL PHONE). So I hang up and ask for customer service and I tell them "I hope I am not getting charged a phone banker fee, because I haven't even got a hold of a live person". They assured me that I would not... A week later 2 phone banker fees for that date. Once again BULLSHIT! They told me to call a bank or go in to have someone do something about the charges, because the help line could not. Wasted my time once again, went into the banks like I was asked and was told to go to the bank where I opened my account.

Now 2 weeks later because I didn't have time to go to my branch because of where it is located. I went online yesterday morning (Monday) to find out that I had some checks pending... And this was showing it had put my account at -32.95, so I rounded up $40 and went to deposit it on my lunch hour. I specifically asked the banker if I could now close my account and asked her also if there was anything that could be done about my previous problem, she also told me go to the branch where I opened my account, and informed me that I could not close my account until the charges posted that evening. I asked the lady if overdraft charges would apply since I had paid before 1:00 she informed me that I WOULD NOT be charged. So I go back to work thinking everythings good... Next day sure enough I was charged for every single one of the items that had been pending even though I was told I wasn't. Why you ask, because a charge that was made a week in advance did come through, but had not been pending along with the others, online so they pretending like I had never seen the once that were already taken from my balance the previous day and went ahead and took out the $80 charge.

Once again I called around wasting more of MY time, just to get a hold of a rude, pitiful excuse for a manager (Connie Shenk). She obviously has been perfect all of her life, and can do no wrong, because the way she talks to people you would think so! Once again there was nothing that SHE could do about it, even though what was posted the day before... Must have been a figment of my imagination, along with the deposit slip I had received, and the print out from my online banking. Basically, whatever is posted online doesn't matter, because with Wells Fargo it changes by the minute. Moral of the story... Make print-outs everyday to keep up with them, so you have proof in hand.
