I joined "My Perfect Credit" last June. They said I would be in control of all work done, charges etc. I didn't ask for anything and didn't even log back in until 2 after getting an email stating a problem with my credit card, (it had expired) I did not in the meantime get any mail or emails from them. I sent the required cancel notice too.
I know its stupid but I did not know they were still taking money from my acct. They said it would come out in one name and then switched to another, a total of 3 different names on my statement. I have tried to get them to call me since 2, I have emailed, requested a refund etc.
8/7 I get a phone call today from a collection agency - 1st Credit of America saying I owe "MPC" almost $300.00. I have never gotten any letters from them and I told him he would have to send me written proof of the charges. He said he would email them and mail them to me also.
Well, no email yet, we will see about the letter.
The guy was rude and pushy and demanded payment then. I told him to hang on and I called "MPC" and left my phone on speaker so he could hear it all. She admitted I had called and requested a refund back in 2 and had made several calls and 1st Credit of America guy just says that doesn't mean I don't owe them. 1st Credit says it will be put on my credit file.
Today they send me an email saying:
