As part of an "free" ipod scam, I ordered USA Today from Best magazines direct in Dec. 2004. I paid $63 for a subscription that I still haven't received (Aug. 2005).
The customer service line is just a mailbox - calls are never returned and all other phone lines linked to the company are now disconnected.
Don't think I'll be seeing any USA Today's or "free" ipods anytime soon.
