First, I signed up for a FREE credit report. Next, I was charged $9.95 on my credit card. I called to cancel in April. It was not cancelled.
I e-mailed in May and received an e-mail stating that they have received my message and would address it in the order it was received.
I e-mailed in August because I noticed they are still charging my credit card. I received the same e-mail reply confirming they had received my e-mail.
I called on Aug. 1, and demanded a faxed confirmation of the cancellation. They said they could not. I talked to supervisor, after being told she was too busy. She still said they could only e-mail me within 24-48 hours they confirmation.
I asked for a confirmation that they took my credit card # out of their system and was told they could not but to write to consumer affairs with ref.# 110809147, PO. BOX 19729, Irvine, CA 92623-9729.
I wrote a letter to that address and I am including all e-mail copies to prove I have tried to cancel this service. I threaten action if they do not remove my credit card from their archives and credit my account for the three months they have been charging me.
I have received nothing from this company. I even tried to block them from charging my account. I intend to do whatever it takes to make sure they stop stealing my money...
