I received a phone called last friday telling me that I have been given a grant of $12,500 that will be in my account June 17. I would have to pay a fee of 29.95 for the paper work of the grant for next year, but the man said i did not have to pay for it if i didn't want to when i received. The paper work would be here by UPS in two days. It's been six days already and no paper work, but the company has withdrawn 29.95 out of my account.
I wanted to know if anybody else thought this was awkward, and so i found this website.
I decided to call the First National Grant company back and the lady named Tamara was very rude. She said that "do you really think that a grant could be in your account with in a week?" I told her i didn't know how these things worked except for what the man had told me from their company, and she didn't say the man was lying to me, but told me that i would have the package in 5-7 days, and then i would have to file for the grant.
I want to file a lawsuit against this company.
So, I called my bank and told them the situation and the bank said that since i gave them my account to deposit the money in, they also have the right to withdraw as much as they want. The bank had told me that i did authorized the withdrawn when i give them my account number. This does not make sense to me. I am very upset and I want help on filing a lawsuit against this company or the bank. Please help.
