I joined onto a company in Maine in April, and got a call in early May from TP Supply who said they were moving to a warehouse in Arizona and that it was easier for them to sell there product at rock bottom prices rather than ship them to the warehouse which made no sense to me at the time, but they told me that the talked to the financial manager here and was referred to me (the one who orders the supplies). They then read me off a list of the supplies that we normally use, and they gave me unbelievable prices, but said we had to order a certain amount or each. We had to buy by the gross, not the individual quantity. They proces I was told over the phone were agreed upon to be the price PER gross pack. I then told them I had to tlak to the finance manager opne more time to confirm anything and that I would call them back. They then told me that they would call ME back, and I should not try to contact them, as there phone did not accept incoming calls.
I then talked to my financial director, he refused the order due to the amount of supply. They called me back the next day and I refused the order. I then thought it was all said and done and over with. WRONG!
Two weeks later I get a 309 pound shippment from TP Supply in ARIZONA (weren't they supposed to be moving there, not shipping from there?) with a packing slip and NO invoice! I was overwhelmed with the boxes that came in. It was unbelievable! I have to way of contacting them because there was no number on the packing slip. So I held on to the boxes and left them sealed.
Two more weeks passed, and I got mail from them. It turned out to be an invoice for almost $7000! For an order I didn't make! That had a phone number on it so I called them. To my luck they didn't answer, and I found the other reports on here, and realized what they were up to, and that they wouldn't answer. You had to leave a message and they would call YOU back. I got a call the next day and told them about what happened. The lady that called me back said that the woman that is in charge of the returns is away because her father had a stroke (the tone in her voice made it sound so fake) I then told her "Look, business is business and we can't cater to a "Stroke" and take a $7000 loss for something we didn't order and don't have the room for!" She then offered me a 50% discount on the supply order, and I no, and that we didn't have the room for that kind of supply. She then said, "Well, how about you take the discount and donate half the supplies." I then refused again and said that I was sending them back or I would report them to the BBB (Better Business Bureau). That work like a charm because they had been reported in the past. She said "Ok, Ship them back and we will credit your account". I told her I also refused to pay the shipping, and she must send me packing slips, she refused to send them so I told her I would send them COD, and she said "OK, that's fine" and I hung up on her.
PLEASE beware of this company, they fooled my company once before I was here and we had a 4 year supply of paper clips and post-it notes. I got credit back for those as well. If you have a regular supplier, STICK WITH THEM. IGNORE TP Supply at all costs. HUGE RIP-OFF.
I priced out the supplies I got from them and compared them to staples. TP charges 75% more for there supplies that are supposedly at "warehouse" price.
I got through it and saved my company more than $7000. They are not fun to work with at all. Please beware.
