November I got a brand new Kirby G6 series vaccum cleaner for FREE! And I'll tell you how it happened from the beginning.
May some losers show up at my front door at 5pm, it's almost supper time and I'm here alone with 4 small children. He shows up in a carload of 4 -5 other people. When I answer the door, the car PULLS out of my driveway and leaves this kid here at my house!
I should have called the police but being the softy that I am I listen to him. He goes on and on for HOURS I mean HOURS my children have by then cooked there own supper. I repeatedly tell this guy NO NO NO, I dont' want a sweeper, I cannot afford it blah blah blah.
So, finally around 8 pm (this is not a lie either) he calls one of his co-workers and she arrives, they pressure me some more until it's literally bedtime and I agreed to take the damn sweeper for the 3 day trial period. They took my sweeper with them and said if I notified them within 3 days that I wanted to cancel I could get it back.
Well, to make a long story short, it took them about 2 weeks to come and get the Kirby and when they showed up - they brought me someone elses sweeper! I complained to Trebor Dist. On a daily basis for several weeks, then I started contacting the Kirby headquarters the BBB 6 on your side the attorney general's office ect.
And finally after me calling them for 5 months, they called me with an offer either they would purchase for me a new sweeper or I could take on of their G6 demo models, of course I took the Kirby G6 with the shampooer and all the attachments which was sent to me by UPS within a week! HOnestly I love the sweeper but I will never open my door to a salesman ever again..
And it really was not worth the hassle of complaining about them "losing" my old sweeper and bringing me someone's crappy old nasty dog smelling sweeper.
But atleast in the end I got the last word and I hope they learned a lesson, But I doubt it.
