I was hired to work for this company by the owner, Greg Herald. He was a friend of a friend and I had no reason to distrust this person. The company is in the business of erecting metal buildings, from 75,000 sq. Foot warehouses to schools and churches. I was hired to call on local contractors to get them to subcontract our company to put up buildings they already had contracts on.
Our agreement was that I would be compensated $30,000 a year plus one percent commission on whatever I sold. I made numerous contacts over a five month period.in this time Mr. Herald bounced at least four paychecks to me. These were all eventually covered but I never received a penny towards the hundreds of dollars in bounced check fees that I was charged due to all my other checks bouncing.
Two weeks before I was "terminated" I got the company a job building an aiplane hangar on the Charleston Air Force Base. The building was a $325,000 job. I was referred to as "employee of the year". After paying me only $300 of what was supposed to be $3,250, I was let go for no reason. I filed for unemployment, and Mr. Herald showed up at a meeting stating thay I had been fired for failure to submit call reports. So I was denied benefits. I will not sit back and let this man get away with this. I am a single mother of two boys, and I worked hard for this company. Not only does he owe me for at least three jobs, he is still enjoying continued business through at least two companies that I initiated a relationship with. I may never see a dime from him, but I will do everything I can before I give up.
The address that was used is questionable. Greg Herald operates his business on his own and is nearly impossible to track down by mail. He has used an address in Charleston, SC as well, which is where I worked for him. He is also currently living here in Charleston.
I also want to note that I have yet to receive any tax information from this man, and as a single mom, I count heavily on my tax return each year. Without my tax papers from him, I can't file. Once again he has taken money out of my pocket. I should mention that he lives quite an extravagant lifestyle.
