On November 12,1998, Herald DeHays passed away. He was married to our mother, Harriett Dehays, for nearly 25 years. She passed away on March 14,1990. We were a close family, not realizing that there was any reason to believe that we were going to be taken out of a will which was made between our mother, Harriett and Herald DeHays.
She had been by his side for 25 years, helping to raise two of his sons, and helping him become a successful business man - with assets totalling well over several million.
In collaboration, Larry (and his wife, Judy), and brothers, Jim, and Steve DeHays, deliberately talked their father, Herald, into changing his will in October, 1998. Although, he was sick with brain cancer, he changed it leaving all three boys born of our mother, Harriett DeHays, out of the will including myself.
Nearly all records including the will failed to mention that he (Herald) was ever married to our mother. Of course, Lee county records on property ownership, the married certificate, etc., are available to prove otherwise.
Herald's will left everything to his three boys, Larry, Jim, and Steve. This family is not to be trusted.
