I recently noticed charges that appeared on one particular VISA credit card amounting to $14.95 each plus 2 charges of $1.00 each. I called my bank and they said for me to attempt recovery first before turning it over to them. I contacted these two phone numbers 800-411-0817 (AP9 Privacy matters) and 800-411-8104 (AP9 GalleriaUSA).
At GalleriaUSA I spoke with "Chris" who said that I had approved the membership which he "showed". I told him he was full of it and that I had never even heard about this company. I later learned that GalleriaUSA is some sort of photo storage service (I do't even have a digital camera).
I demanded that he return my money or I would institute a class action lawsuit which GalleriaUSA would never recover from. I told "Chris" that the SEC would be very interested in them. He seemed to be responsive... Said he would rescind the charges in 3 - 5 days. I told both companies I never want to see them on my credit card statement ever again. I believe they think that what they are doing is perfectly legal. But I did shake their cages.
