I purchased a 2003 mitsubishi eclipse in October. The color car that I wanted was rare, so they had to "order it" and have it "shipped" up to the dealership.
I live in Sonora and the closest mitsubishi dealership is in modesto, which is over an hour away. When we went down to pick up my car and to sign the final paperwork, it was late in the evening (apx 8pm) so the parts department was closed.
The car had over 600 miles on it beacuse it was drove down to the dealership rather than shipped like I was told. Then when we signed the final contracts, and they handed me the key, they told me that the other key was in the detail shop and since it was closed they would just mail me the other key the next day.
I kept calling and calling about the key and they kept giving me the run arround. After 6 months of getting nowhere I went down to the dealership. They said that it was never printed on my "due bill" therefor they are not responsible to replace it. It was going to cost me over $200 to get a replacement.
What was I to do? Then it was service time. My door wasn't shutting right. So I took it down; 5 DIFFERENT times and to this day it still isn't fixed! In November, my window broke. (I needed a new window motor)
So they told me that they would order the parts. A few weeks went by and I still did not hear anything. I called and was told that because of the holidays, the part was delayed.in January I called yet again, well over 2 months later, and was told they had to reorder the parts.
Then, I tryed to call them again, a month later, and they're gone! No phone call no nothing. Gone. Modesto Mitsubishi is no longer. So here I am. Now both windows need new motors. My sunroof needs a new motor, my transmission is slipping gears, my door still won't shut right, and my speakers won't work.
I was screwed!
