Stopped to get gas this morning at a station that I've used all the time over the past 12 years. Paid at the pump via my debit card and began to pump using the lock clip on the pump as I always have. The pump did not click and stop once my gas tank was filled. It proceeded to spill out all over. I stopped it and went to tell the gas station attendant and to get paper towels to wipe the area off my car and clothes. The attendant looked dumbfounded, like he had no idea how to handle. He was helpless and clueless. I had a couple gentlemen in the store that proceeded to assist me. Sad that I could have not gotten the same empathy, concern and knowledge from Chevron/Valero's own employee.
