I was hired for Macy's back in October. I was hired on the spot for Holiday part-time work as a Replenish Associate. The women who interviewed be told me that work would be slow but it will be picked up in November. Two weeks went by and no schedule. I called the lady who interviewed me and she said she see no schedule either she will call HR.
I still have not heard nothing so I went online and picked up schedules. I showed up for work the 1st day and cud not get in because security would not let me go up stairs because I forgot my I'd. I had to call a Manager to come get me. I sat down stairs until 9 A.M. When the store opened and went through the store to the department. I could not find any one to help me. I would have got paid for that day but I did not know we had to clock in. I waited around for another hour for a lady to help me. My shift was 4 hours and I already spent 3 hours in the store. I went to HR to get a new Id and left. I came to work my next schedule day and the Manager asks me what happened the day I was suppose to start. I explained and got work. I can say out of all the days I worked at Macy's the Manager only scheduled me one day a week. I took this job for the Holidays to make extra money. I am so disappointed with Macy's. I missed 6 weeks of work with no schedule looking out on money for the Holidays. I had HR calling me asking me why I am not a work. I told the lady I have no schedule. She checked and agreed with me. Then she goes to say we have work
do you wanna work. I told her I don't know how much work I can do now Christmas is two weeks away. She was like I can get you a full schedule over night and she was going to talk with the Manager to give me a schedule. Well a week goes by no schedule. So once again I go online and pick up a schedule. Then the Manager asks. Men, Where have I been and I told her she did not give me schedule. She tells me she sure she gave me a few schedules and do I know how to work the online schedule system. I told her yes I do and she also told me I am not suppose to pick up schedules. As I write this today I still have no schedule. Christmas is two days away. I want to tell Macy's thank you for spoiling my kids Christmas!!!
