I am concerned with how American Water in Illinois is reading and or estimating my water meter. I as my husband and two children have been residing in 112 colony drive in Belleville for a little over a year and have not seen this much gallon usage as far as 265$ for one month of water. I have checked my meter and it is disgusting and dirty makes me wonder how my company has been able to read such meter all this time. I need someone to help me with this, we are renters and on public assistance as I am disabled, two hundred sixty five per one month of water for a family of four that hasn't been irrigating and or doesn't owe a pool is EXTREMELY high. I will be changing companies if this occurs again as I do not have the funds readily available to be paying 200 plus a month for water alone. I'm concerned because my sewage bill goes hand in hand with my water that is depending on how many gallons of water we utilize is how my sewage bill is determined. Why is it that my sewage bill this month is about ten dollars less than what is usually paid but my water bill is about two hundred and twenty dollars higher this month than what is of the usual 40 to the highest 80 or what that is billed and paid? I have contacted the city of belleville with my concern and will be reaching out to all possible methods of communication so that this issue is resolved in a timely mannor. A 265$ water bill for a family of four with no pool and one that has not irrigated at all is outrages!
