I thought I was renewing my license for my Avast Antivirus software program. Somehow I was speaking with foreign speaking personnel, who I did not understand. They said nothing about addition charges to be made to my credit card and thought I was paying for the renewal program which is $39.99 per year.
I learned of the deception when I received my credit card bill for $181.04.
I have not been able to contact them. I do not believe that they are not part of Avast software.
I have filed an appeal with my credit card company as my license was not renewed and I have no software.
