On April 21 Dish double billed my credit card which was set-up for auto pay on an AMEX card. AMEX caught this, contacted me and indicated they would send DISH a merchant inquiry. DISH never responded so in July AMEX billed back DISH automatically.in the meantime DISH apparently discovered their FRAUDULENT billing and credited my account in late May.

So when AMEX billed back DISH, DISH suspends and subsequently cancels my account. They send me their boxes for equipment which I returned and then bill me for another $200 for cancellation fees. Here is the kicker. I tried to re-pay them immediately with my AMEX because I said AMEX wouldn't have known about the credit they provided. DISH will not accept my credit card, the CROOKS want to access my bank account and pre-bill me. I have gone round and round with the robots from India reading a script. I did get to their Executive Resolution Center twice. They have the same script they read from.

DISH is a crooked operation. They are out to rip off the consumer. If you know someone that is about to install a satellite dish tell them about this and refer them to DIRECT TV.

One last comment. AMEX customer service was useless. They used to be the best —now with their call center in India they are a joke. They have a script as well that they read from. After dealing with both DISH and AMEX I find myself asking why they even have a customer service center.
