Went online to apply for a loan 8/28. The next day 8/29 my phone kept ringing, calls from New York, Florida, Minnesota, Georgia, Washington, and unknown numbers. I finally answered the New York number (646) 396-7187 on 9/2 and talked to a guy name Mark Hamilton with a Caribbean accent who told me I was approved for $5,000. I told him I DID NOT request that amount and I do not remember going to their website. He told me my address, bank information, and email address to convince me. He asked me if I need more money or less money, I told him less and he told me I can get up to $10000, without hesitation I went for it after he told me what the monthly payments would be. He told me he will clear it with his supervisor and call me back, after 10 minutes he called me back and told me I was approved but I need to put up a security deposit which will not be touched. He gave me the address to a 7 eleven down the street from me and told me to purchase a Vanilla card and put $375 on it, I told him I do not use Vanilla I have a Green Dot card and he told me it doesn't matter because it has to be Vanilla. I told him I do not have $375 and he said $300 will do, Like a (Inappropriate Content Removed) I followed instructions and they told me my money will be in my bank 45 minutes later along with the $300 dollar from off the Vanilla card. I got a call from another person telling me it will be impossible to put the money in my bank account because my credit is below 700 and the IRS will start an investigation. He said I need to go to a Western Union to get the money but the Western Union Charges will be $750 which the company will pay $500 of it if I can come up with $250 of it, I told him I am broke and I want my $300 dollars back and he told me he will cancel the loan but I have to pay a cancellation fee of $175!!! The next day he kept calling me at least 15 times every half hour. I recorded most of the calls I had with this guy. I'm so embarassed I have not reported it to the police or told anyone about it, now I'm struggling to make it to my next paycheck.
