On 8/22 I spoke with an Eric Thompson and Aric Thompson, that was from Advance America. He told me I was approved in the amount of $5000. He told me that I needed to pay $500 to secure my loan because of my credit. I was told to use a re-load card (Vanilla Re-Load Network card) and to give the number on the card so he can verify that I can pay back the loan. He told me the $500 would be refunded (so I would receive $5500. When that was complete I would receive the $5000 plus the $500 into my account by an ACH transaction. The next day there was no money in my account. I called them on 8/23 and I spoke with Eric Thompson and told him that the money was not in my account. He said the reason it was not in my account because "Tax issue are taken care by Federal Legislation Council, Recent Federal Tax Rates are published annually by the IRS.? Tax Rate schedules? And after clearing the taxes you will get an OOCR Certificate which shows that there is nothing pending on your name. As Soon as the tax issue is cleared within 15-20Minutes. You will get Pending Loan Amount. And tax Payment will be reimbursed on August 30th in to bank account." I was told to pay $425 and that amount plus the $500 and the original loan amount ($5000) would be in my account that day. I paid the $425 using the Vanilla Re-load network I purchased at a 7-11 (all Vanilla Re-load Network cards were purchased for $3.95 at a 7-11). I was told the money would be in my account within the hour. Eric called me back and told me that they tried to put the money in my account 3 times but was unsuccessful because my bank would not allow it to go through. He told me that I could wait until Monday morning to try again or pay $460 to have the money sent to me through western union. Eric told me he would help me pay the western union ($200) and I pay $260 through the re-load card. I needed the money now because I needed to cover some personal expenses. So Eric sent the money Western Union and I was to receive the money on 8/24 in the amount of $5760 (to include the original loan amount plus the $500 and the $425). Eric gave me the 10 digit number to receive the cash western Union (10 digit number was 2565821179. I went to the Western Union and the customer service said the 10 digit number was incorrect. I was given the number to Western Union to call and to verify the 10 digit number. I was told no 10 digit number was valid and they could not give me the senders information for security purposes. At this time I was out of money and I contact them the following Monday 8/26 and was told the highest amount Western Union could send was $999 and they would have to send the money to me in the form of a Debit Card. I was to pay $99 (using the Vanilla Re-load network card) for the activation an fee and they would hand deliver me the card. A Simon Fletcher would hand deliver the card plus the loan documents to my home. Eric told me the guy was a personal friend of his who worked for Advance America as well. They gave me the address to Advance America (900 Jefferson Blvd in West Sacramento). I contacted them and was told no Simon Fletcher worked there. I called eric and told him that no Simon Fletcher worked there and demanded all of my money back. He asked why I contacted them and that he should trust me. They hung up on me. I called them numerous times and received no response. When I tried to call they kept hanging up on me. I have all documentation to support this claim.
