Wouldn't you know they showed up at 1:38 instead of 2PM. But at Least they did and were not no show like twice prior.
I immediately set the timer for 60 minutes in the kitchen.
They brought their own cleaning stuff including a vacuum.
I asked them to clean guest and our bathroom, vacuum in dining/living room and den and clean kitchen floor including the hallway and guest bathroom floor.
They think they can do that in 40 minutes or so. Well if time is left please sweep the garage floor.
I am sitting in the den and watch. Their vacuum does not pick up cat hair from the cats favorite Oriental throw-rug in the den.
The young lady ask if I have something for the cat hair to brush off. I brought out our Dyson vacuum and it picked it up in no time.
They vacuum around furniture, they don't push a chair aside and vacuum underneath nor under the dining room table!!!
I made a photo of the cleaned toilette. My cleaning lady is coming Friday and I will ask her to clean our bathroom again. She does not know about this Merry Maid certificate I had.
We will have before and after photos. Might even put them on YouTube!!!
Hallway was first vacuumed, but the tray with the winter shoes under a bench was not removed, so it has all kinds of cat litter and dust still underneath!!! They used a flat something or another with a wet cloth on it, to clean the kitchen floor.
The dirt spots I had before are still there. I don't call that cleaning. Must have been just a wet cloth.
At 52 minutes here, they sort of wanted to say good bye. I said there are still 8 minutes left and please sweep the garage. What a JOKE!
I will take photos of that.
I handed them my special very wide soft broom and they proceeded to sweep.
After 8 minutes I go out and see the results.
They had actually very nicely distributed the cat litter and sand very evenly throughout the garage, leaned the broom against the wall and they were out of here. Some spots where not even touched.
$ 80.00 for 2 young girls for one hour work!!! Outrages.
I feel sorry for my friend who had hired them for cleaning her house. I am sure she did not ask for details of the charges. I had and was appalled. Anyway 4 hours later she owed them $ 360.00. Needless to say she will never use them. Nor would I.
I will also be a bit more cautious on any charitable items I buy at Auctions or Fund raiser.
