As a birthday surprise, my husband hired Merry Maids since I work 12 hours a day and was having a hard time keeping up with the daily cleaning that was needed. We have two dogs that we crate on days that they are scheduled to arrive; however, I asked that the same group be sent to my house each time so not to cause added stress to the dogs with a different team in the home every other week.
The first cleaning, it took 2 people 2 hours to clean one bathroom, kitchen, living room and dining room. That cleaning, a wedding picutre was dropped and the glass shattered. The 2nd cleaning they sent a different team even after verifying that the same team would be used every week. This team dropped and broke a spoon rest that belonged to my grandmother who passed away 16 years ago. Needless to say, I was beyond angry.
I called the office and left a message but did not receive a return call. The 2nd time I called, I spoke with the office manager who seemed to careless about the broken item and lack of customer service. I then sent in a less than satisfactory comment card. That got the attention of the owner who promised me that everything would be handled properly from that day forward.
It has now been over 4 months and I won't everything has been perfect but it has been as expected. I love coming home Friday and having the house clean and know that I don't need to do it over the weekend.
On a side note, there is now a new office manager for my local Merry Maids which I'm sure was the problem.
