Catalyst Coaching
Consumer Report

Like the others, I have been scammed by Catalyst Coaching. I received a call from a person called Justin Nichoson of Catalyst Coaching in July and was told that I was chosen and test-qualified to participate in their coaching program for e-business set up. My call was then transferred to another person called Stephen Hubbard. It was explained that I would leverage my Credit card limit to run my on-line business. After some calculation on my available credit limit, I was told that my initial investment amount would be $12,735.36. I was led to believe that I would use this fund to run my business. I was NOT told that there was a program fee involved. My credit card details were obtained on the phone. I was hesitant at first but I was told it was for registration purpose. I was then rushed by an admin person on the phone to electronically sign a contract in a link sent to me while I was talking on the phone. This happened within a minute and I did not even have a chance to view the content of the contract. After that, the person said he had forgotten to mention there would be a $39.99 monthly fee but I would receive a 4-month waiver instead.
After the call, I realised that I did not have access to the contract any more. 2 days later when I recevied the contract upon my request, I realised my 2 credit cards were charged $12,735.36 for a program fee. I immediately raised the concern and requested for an explanation on the charges. They promised a call back but it happened on the 5th day since I signed the contract. The call was incomplete due to broken phone line and I did not get an explanation about the charges. I received another call from Jeremy Turner the next day but same thing happened and he claimed it was a phone line problem and I was promised a call back the next day but it never happened. Due to all these delay, I missed the chance of cancelling!
While I was still waiting for an explanation about the charges, they were quick to set up the first coaching call. Believe these were their tricks to prove that they had provided their service in order to win the case when a dispute arise.
Despite my 5 follow-up and escalated emails, I did not get any response and reply at all. The coaching call stopped after 2 weeks and my access to their e-Library was also removed.
I had raised a dispute through the Credit Card companies. While ignoring all my emails, Catalyst Coaching was fast in responding to the bank that I did not cancel the contract within 3 days and provided proof that I had used their service.
This is a real scam. So, stay away from Catalyst Coaching / Focuslc! I am surprised that they are still able to continue with their dirty deeds despite so many complaints lodged against them!
