I answered a survey on another company's website that offered a 'free' gift for participating and I would only pay shipping and handling. I decided to take them up on the offer. Two weeks later, I was charged $103.36 (Cdn) on my credit card. Nowhere during this process that I can recall was it mentioned I would be charged in full for the 'free' gift. I am not surprised that this scam originates from the UK. I will try to have this charge removed from my credit card.
I assure you that I will never repeat this and if any company (and I mean any company) asks me to answer any survey, they will get nothing from me.
