A person identifying himself as Thomas Suter listed an apartment for rent on airbnb.com, at 2646 N Lincoln Av Chicago, IL 60614. I wrote him on this site and then we corresponded off the site.
Several things seemed weird, so I checked them out. He evenetually sent me what looks like a false passport copy and account information to send him money. The State Department later confirmed it is indeed a fake passport.
The name on the account and account numbers are B of A, Jesse Erlewine, 004850366327, Routing # 323070380, Swift Code? Bofaus3n.
I looked on the web, and others have posted about fraud to Jesse Erlewine to this account.
I have not sent him money. I have contacted my local police department and they referred me to IC3 https://www.ic3. Gov - I filed a complaint with them. They collect data about internet crimes and pool together data to pursue them.
Since I've not lost money, I can't file a police report. I have contacted airbnb.com and reported him. The State Department has done all they can do.
There must be something else that can be done!
I called B of A and they can do nothing.
I spoke with someone at the state department who confirmed they have no record of this passport, it is not valid. The info on his fake passport is Thomas Andre Suter, Male, #424018461 Birth March 31,1970 Born Chicago, IL Date of Issue May 1 Expire Apr 30
Also, when I looked at all the links and files, I found 4 names associated with this account and pattern of behavior:
