On 6/26, my 18 year old son gave Joshua Paradise $1200 as a deposit for a 1990 vw corrado. I have a signed receipt that both parties signed, which does not say it is a non-refundable deposit. Jesse kept in contact with Joshua about his status on selling his pickup truck (which he needed to do so to pay for the remainder on the car). When Jesse decided not to purchase the car, Joshua said he was on vacation and couldn't refund him until a certain date. I then called and Joshua was very rude to me and said he was dealing with Jesse. He texted Jesse and emailed him that he didn't have to pay him back and he won't until he sells the car. The police and district court in our state disagree but neither Jesse or myself has the extra $72 to file a lawsuit to try to retrieve the money. Joshua has taken his car off craigslist and will not respond to Jesse's attempts to receive payments back. The only reason Jesse had $1200 was because he sold his motorcycle. I do not have his address but I know he works at Public Works Division on Sawmill Road, Nashua, NH, work #589-3560. He stole $1200 from my son.
