My husband and I promised our 3 children we would take them some where as our "vacation" The children are 13 years old, 15 months old, and a 3 month old. We arrived late with only a hour to swim (the main reason the 13 year old wanted to come) and he quickly changed and his uncle took him to the pool. My husband and I unpacked the car and got the babies settled in. Our room was the suite so we were checking out the jungle theme and we saw a hard shelled bug run across the floor. We smashed it and didn't think much about it at the time. My husband went to used the biggest restroom and couldn't because the smell of urine was so strong and at that time he noticed some type of hair on the toilet seat, assuming a pubic hair! I then looked for the front desk number and could not find it. I assumed it was 0 like most other hotels we stayed at. I called 3times and I never could get through to the front desk. It was late so we cleaned it our selves and got the children ready for bed. Our 13 year old told us that his comforter had some crusty residue on it. I took it off his bed and he just used the sheets. There was a empty beer box n the room still and other bugs in the smaller restroom. We went to bed and woke up and packed up to check out. Myself and our 3 kids were covered in bites. I have done research on BED BUGS and I am positive we had been bit by BED BUGS. I had over 20 just on my arms. My 15 month and 3 month old had bites from head to foot! I told the front about our situation and the lady (her name was Julie) was very rude about it. She said "If it was so bad why did you say the night?" and i informed her about our three kids and it being so late. And the manager was to call me at 1 pm that day when she arrived. I never received her call. I then called around 6:30ish pm and asked to speak to the manager and she was not there again. The next day I called and left my info for the manager and no call. The third day I called again and demanded to talk to a manager. The man then took my info for the fourth time. He called and told me there was nothing they would to because we stayed the night. They refused to give me a refund and after several calls back and forth from the manager and myself they agreed to give us back $30.78 out of the $130 we paid.
