Broken Arrow Water Dept Customer Service Really SUCKS!

I know we all suffered much during the water line break crisis last month. However, I got a bill from the water department over charging me this month for water usage that goes way beyond what I normally use. So, when I called and spoke to the usual rude people answering the phones in the water dept., I get a bunch of excuses and reasons as to why they claim to be right. Let's see, the utility guy misread the meter last month and probably guessed what it was this month and so the two figures were added up and according to them, it seems right? Then on top of that, I get hit with a late charge that the lady refused to remove, claiming that they already gave me an exception this year. However, I have not called the water dept this year, so this is ridiculous to say.

I have been wanting to get something off my chest for some time about Broken Arrow's quality of water and the water dept customer service, which combined comes out to a 1 on the scale of 1-10 (10 being the best). They send letters every year to residents plainly showing that our water barely passes standards and this last one, they flunked the standards, but made up plenty of excuses justifying themselves.

Okay, now we get to the good part. This water line break, in my opinion, was probably because the main lines were rusty, leaky, and poorly maintained anyways and on the verge of breaking. It probably took just a little extra pressure coming down the line to crack it open. Now, we are out of water and at risk for drinking it for 2-3 days with boil orders, news updates, and restaurant shut downs, which is a reasonable precaution, but you would think for all of this inconvenience, the city would offer it's residents some kind of utility rebate as a gesture of goodwill. No, instead, we get hit by larger bills and late charges, and more excuses without exception.
