There was an ad on craigslist for car decal advertisement.
A man named Howard Unell, that I could only identify by an 888 number, or an email that said klein contractors, suggesting that this job was for me, and to follow instructions. I am a single mom, unemployed, and don't have time for games.
The email stated that I would be receiving a check in the mail to deposit, TODAY, by usps.
The check came for $2950.
The check was a NAVYARMY community credit union cashiers check. Immediately I went to www.routingnumbers.org and saw the routing number to this check was incorrect. I called the credit union, and they told me that this scam has been going on, and they are aware of the fake checks that are being sent out in their name.
They also gave me this website to complain. Scam/fraud
