Dear Jyotsnaji,

Thank you very much for your quick action. After a long follow up finally a senior service engineer visited our residence and after a true check of the fridge, he informed that the problem is with compressor, which needs to be replaced and the cost will be around 4500/- with one year warranty. He is really a good person who also guided us that we have two options either to change the compressor with which the fridge can still pull on 7-10 more years due to very good quality and maintenance and the other option is to go for new fridge by exchanging old fridge.

On enquiring that how will we get the refund of money of Rs. 3200/- (Whirlpool automatic defrosting equipment Rs. 1200/- & Gas pipe repair and filling Rs. -) already spent by us, which was not necessary as the problem was with compressor, he very politely requested us to talk to company directly and on their instructions only it can be done.

I therefore request you to instruct them to do the needful. We further request you to take the action against the engineers who have cheated us with above jobs which were basically not required.

I once again thank you for giving a patient hearing to my complaint and taking the prompt action to resolve it.

Thank you for your prompt response and sending the mechanic (Mr. Zeeshan Mob (Personal Information Removed) on the same day. The mechanic changed some part (thermostat) without any extra charge.

But we regret to state that the issue is still not resolved, when today we called again Mr. Zeeshan on his mob, he refused to entertain us and very rudely informed that we have to complaint to company and only on hearing from company he will visit again. Though we were informed that some senior person will visit, but every time only Mr. Zeeshan is visiting and we feel that he is not able to detect the fault and goes on changes the parts without any required results.

We are tired of following with your mechanics, kindly arrange to send some knowledgeable mechanic who can do the needful. Also if the new automatic defrosting system which is given to us with a charge of Rs. 1200/- is not functioning as required, we would like to return the same on our due refund.

We look forward for your personal intervention to resolve our long pending complaint.

Dear Sir / Madam,

I have purchased Whirlpool Single door Fridge 310 litre Non CFC Red 2392350008 06.05.2002 and I must appreciate the fridge quality, as till now we have not faced any problem. But I have a very bad experience of after sales services. The details of my experience is as under:

1) Very recently we noticed that defrosting system is not working resulting generation of lot of ice in the freezer and the handle of fridge has given away.
2) On 21.03. we therefore registered a complaint with Whirlpool help desk for repair of defrosting system and to change the fridge handle also. The complaint is registered with mobile number (Personal Information Removed) (Vinod Bhatia – (Personal Information Removed)
3) On the same day one of the mechanic (Mr. Shamshed Mob (Personal Information Removed) visited our house and after inspecting the fridge we suggested that since defrosting system is not working, instead of changing it we should go for automatic defrosting system equipment which will solve our problem and regarding fridge handle he informed that since the model is very old, it is difficult to get the new handle and he will write e-mail to company and try to get it if possible.
4) He charged us Rs. 225/- as visiting charges and assured us that very soon he will be back with automatic defrosting equipment and the new handle.
5) After 3 days he again visited with Whirlpool automatic defrosting equipment which he installed and charged us Rs. 1200/- and he informed us that it is not possible for him to get the new handle since model is very old. He closed the complaint by stating that the problem is solved and in case of any issue we may call him on his mobile.
6) After 3 days we noticed that the defrosting system is still not working and ice generation in freezer continued, we immediately called the mechanic to visit again.
7) On 29.03. the same mechanic visited and informed us that there is lekage in the gas pipe and hence we have to replace the gas pipe / filter and refill the gas. He on his own called the helpdesk and booked the complaint for repairing the gas leakage.
8) On 31.03. one more mechanic (Mr. Zeeshan Mob (Personal Information Removed) visited our house and did the required job by changing the gas pipe / filter and refilled the gas. He charged Rs. - for the job and assured us that now we will not face the problem of non-functioning of defrosting system and in case of any issue we can call him on his mobile
9) Once again after 2/3 days we observed that our problem is still not solved, hence we called both the mechanics but we did not get any response.
10) On 06.04.2013 we called you help desk to put up a strong complaint, but we were informed to contact Whirlpool branch co-ordinator Ms. Reshmaji Tel No. 022-67774513.
11) Ms. Reshmaji assured us that she will send the senior mechanic by the same day and ensure that our problem is resolved.
12) On 06.04. mechanic Mr. Zeeshan again visited and informed us that thermostat is not working and we have to replace the same.

I really feel that we have been cheated by the Whirlpool mechanics and every time they visit they ask us to replace the different parts of the fridge and they go on charging for it.

I fail to understand why a company like Whirlpool does not have qualified mechanics, who can provide good services to valuable customers.

We therefore request you to look into our complaint and take the corrective action to resolve our complaint. Please send some genuine mechanic and arrange for refund of our money charged for automatic defrosting equipment which is of no use.
