I opened an po box in lake Stevens, Wa. On march 27. due to i was moving from granite falls, wa. (about 8 miles away) becoming homeless. I had the box for 3 weeks and closed it out by sending the keys and a letter to that location from kent wa. A week later i received a form letter back to fill out to get a refund for the po box (13.00) which i sent in right away. I had put in a change of address again to the kent post office general mail format 98031, to have all my mail forwarded as of april 22. Later that week i called the irs (which i had been dealing with for 6 months) and they notified me that they had sent a check on the 19th of april to the lake stevens location in the amount of $1,008.00.. I kept calling the lake stevens post office to find the where abouts of my mail. Over a week later past the 22nd i talked to cindy at the lake stevens post office and she said someone had put a ten day hold on my mail and stuffed in off to the side and she had found my mail which included other mail and my IRS REFUND CHECK OF 1,008.00. She informed me she was going to put all my mail in a 8x9 white tie back envelope and send it to the kent post office with my name on it viz GENERAL DELIVERY, kent wash. 98031. Since the end of april Ive yet to see this stack of mail she said she sent with 1.019.00 in checks and other mail im waiting for. I ve been back n forth with both places checking mail calling and getting the run around for weeks now. And no results. I ve called washington DC postmaster and they are working on it. Ive notified IRS to let them know my mail is lost and now i ve gotten Seattle consumer affairs involved. Please call me at (Personal Information Removed)(jeff)
