My Internet service stopped working. I sent 2 hours talking to an Indian who was unable to help. I was then told to hold and was given another department. They told me that was all the help I could get according to my present account. Already I regularly pay almost $400. Per mo. For their services. They told me if I added a 14.95 special service package they could give me more help. Since I am an online teacher and had to contact my students right away so I agreed. Several minutes later someone named "Greg" said since my phone had also stopped working I needed to call the Verizon phone company. I asked 'why" and was told the Internet was probably not working because on the phoneline not working. I was mad and asked why, after all of this, I was only now told it was telephone line problem. I asked to cancel the charge and was told there was a $59 cancellation charge. I said it was a phone problem and the service was not necessary. I was told that was a problem with the service department and they were only the billing department and could not drop the charge without a $59. Service charge. I have learned that my phone line was probably cut when they were putting in a new ground connection that day for my neighbor!
