Telephone solicitation to start-up swamp cooler for summer. Quoted $39. When worker, Nicholaus Kite arrived, he told me a piece was broken off in the cooler and he could not fix it. It would cost $100 for him to return to his shop and come back to finish the repair.
The part was not broken; he offered me to pay him cash and he would return next day to repair. I said no.
I paid him for service trip of $39; check 1807 dated 5-14-13.
I notified his office but nothing was done by the company to complete the start-up. They only cashed the check.
I felt it was a total scam on part of the employee and the company.
