Six qt. Stand mixer. Gears have failed twice since I bought it new about 5 years ago. I use it for making bread 2-3 times per month. Cost to replace gears $150.00. They promote this mixer as a heavy duty mixer, but it is not performing as advertised. What to do? Get it repaired again, replace it. No good choices. Kitchenaid will not repair or reimburse me. Obviously it is well past its 1 yr. Warranty, but one would think that they would show interest in resolving this issue, when it is quite obvious that they are selling substandard equipment.
