I examined my May American Express statement today and noticed a spurious charge of $59.95. I looked over previous statements and apparently this was the first instance. I called the Am X and talked to a representative. He did a general inquiry and told me they have an agreement with DRI*sonic (Digital River Inc.) to charge back any customer complaint disputes immediately. The credit will be posted on my next statement.
Hmmmm... Makes me wonder if DRI makes these types of mistakes often and collects your money if no one objects, but are quick to settle if they get caught.By the way the charge was for Norton Anti Virus software that we did not purchase. Several computer experts have recommended that Windows Security Essentials is all you need for anti-virus protection. This software is very good because Microsoft is tired of virus complaints and has improved its latest versions. You can download it for free - e.G. Doesn't sound like Microsoft does it? Good Luck!
