Don't buy Maytag. I have a problem with my 6 or 7 year-old oven that neither the web site nor the owner's manual addressed. So I went on live chat and they tried to sell me a one-year extended warranty for $329.95. Guess what: for a little more than twice that, I can buy a new range/oven. Lasting about 6 years is unacceptable; denotes a shabbily-manufactured product. But the real complaint is what appears to be the systematic use of consumer help chat to sell extended warranties at obscene prices. This is pure price-gouging.
