Teppermans Furniture Store - Factory Appliance - Cornerstone Warranty Program
Maytag still waiting after 3 months to have warranty service... No oven to cook with, and we have 3 small children

I purchased a Maytag oven from Teppermans in Chatham. The oven stopped working in Oct. I called Maytag and arranged for a repair man to come fix the oven. I provided them with my cornerstone warranty information. After waiting almost a month, and 4 calls later, on Nov 22 a repairman shows up. Takes a look at the oven... And never returns. 2nd week of December I start calling maytag asking for the repairman's number so I can check the status of my parts/repair. The number given to me is invalid... So I start calling back. Maytag tells me that they will email/phone the repairman. No one calls me back. I start calling every couple of business days. Maytag never returns my call... I keep getting the same - we-re looking into it response. Finally Dec 18th, I escalate it to a supervisor. I demand that they resolve this Today! No response (again). I call December 28th, after a ruined christmas with no oven, and find out that the repairman just now placed the order for the part. (ordered Dec 18th, the day I escalated the incident to a supervisor). Unfortunately, it is backordered... So I ask to be compensated. I live in a rural area, and take out food is very expensive... How often can I feed my children soup and sandwiches for supper, and its not fun having breakfast for dinner anymore... I'm running out of solutions to feed my family. Maytag tells me that it is Cornerstones problem... Cornerstone tells me that its not it the warranty provision to provide service in a timely manner. After much arguing, the end result is that it could still take me months to get the oven repaired. Nothing I can do about it. Maytag offered me 30% towards a new oven... But I cant afford to buy a new gas range (paid $1000 for that one already). I paid 300 for my extended warranty... So I asked to have it refunded, so I could use the money towards a new oven, but that was denied... Basically neither Maytag or Cornerstone are concerned at all about the poor level of service.

PLease Please do not waste your money on Cornerstone warranty... They wont back the product... And Maytag... Really 30%... I shouldnt even be looking at new stoves... I"m just left with no other option. Your "authorized repairman" isnt very reliable.
