As with the other similar complaints, I received the letter from Stonegate Financial Services stating I was a winner, and check for $3990, asking me to call Lloyd, then I was to deposit it, and then call him back. I sent off a copy of the check to Silicon Valley Bank (the issuing bank) and asked them to verify it. They called back and said the check was fraudulent. The scam is obviously for you to send the $1995 "tax fee" to the claim agent—Lloyd Lewis. Can a warning somehow be sent out so nobody bites on the fraud? Thanks. Jf
