I have been an administrator of my father's estate for a year and a half and it has been awful. I have had a brother steal property and a sister remove herself from being an administrator and I am the one who stayed and I am being treated like I am just ignorant. Henrico utilities won't allow me to cut the water on at my father's property because the bill is 1200.00 because he was deceased and for 2months my brother resided at the residence and they were still charging the water. I have attended every meeting that the commissioner asked me too and I missed one and now I receive a summons in the mail saying if I don't close the inventory the courts will be notified. I wanted to keep my father's house and his two vehicles because that is all I have of his because my sister didn't want anything and my brother had stole everything else. The commissioner told me that he couldn't allow me to keep the house until all the fees were paid and I need to sell the vehicles to a junkyard to get something for it. He justs wants his money and I know that but, I informed him that I am a student and mother of ten and I didn't have money to pay all up front. I was waiting for my taxes but they took them this year. I had to pay my daughter's funeral and I told him I was paying that first. So I was informed that I would have to purchase the vehicles from the estate now my brother stole and I had documented proof and nothing happened to him. How can he tell me that he cant allow me to move in until I pay all my fees? The water bill had nothing to do with me and I hadn't received a dime from my dad so why should I be paying him for his things. I already pay a light bill at the house and to have the inside cleaned. Some nice person did the yard. I just feel as I am being mistreated and I WAS THE ONE TRYING TO DO THE RIGHT THING. Help this is so unfair.
