I have known Johnathon sinch high school. And I met Gina while working at the same company. John was a licensed Mortgage Broker, and Gina a licensed Real Estate agent on the side, so I felt comfortable they would be able to help me. My family was about to lose our home, and I asked Gina to help me navigate finding a new place to live. She introduced me to the rental agent for her company, and went with me to view another property, which was for sale on contract. She told those sellers that her husband had guaranteed me financing to purchase the property - which was NOT tru; he and I had never even completed any paperwork to find a loan. Later, when I spoke to the rental agent, the lady told me that after I left, Gina had bad-mouthed me and said I was a risk and she should be glad she didn't have to rent to me. Bear in mind, I had only just met Gina! On top of this, my mother was looking to buy a house, and called Gina. They found a house, and my mom asked her to make an offer which was less than the asking price. Gina called my mo and told her the owners had just accepted an offer for the full price from someone else. Mom was doubtful because the property had been listed for quite some time. A few weeks later, my sister in law called the owner directly to see if the house was still for sale, and it was. No one had even made an offer on it. While all of this was going on, my youngest brother was working with John to secure financing for a house he and his family found. For several weeks, my brother submitted documentation, and everything John requested, all the while telling him there were no problems. Finally, my brother had given a notice to his landlord, packed the entire family's belongings, and were ready to close on the property (he knew the onwer) and John tells him there is no financing available. They had to move temporarily into a trailer on my sister in law's father's side yard. It's amazing to me how these people take their positions so lightly and affect entire families lives. Hopefully, they will not much longer be in positions to do this.
