Firestone Complete Auto Care
Servicing-03/30

I called Firestone on March 30th to set up an oil change on a 1993 Ford Escort. The service advisor assured me that it would be changed as soon as I could get it to the store. After hanging up the phone, I rushed the car over and presented an online discount coupon for an oil change. They took my keys and instead of pulling it in to change the oil it was allowed to sit for two hours. Finally, after pulling it in to change the oil, the advisor came and told me that the mechanic could not do an oil change. I spoke with the mechanic and ask him why? His reason was that the drain plug was too damaged for him to change it. I asked him to show it to me. From my observation, I did not see the plug being damaged to the point that an open-end wrench or pair of vice-grips could not have been used. He ended up telling me to take it back to the last person who change it.
At this point, I was under the impression the mechanic did not want to go through changing the oil, rotating the tires, and performing other maintenance checks.
