I brought my 98 accord in for a 20.00 oil change and what I ended up with is a 342.11 bill to have my oil pan replaced.
After they store changed the oil, the guy broke the plug and proceeded to rig it together with some type of seal. He never did tell us that he damaged the car.
Now that it is time for another oil change, (by another company) I was told that the bolt would not come off. I had to bring the car back to Wal Mart. They did not even look at the car. They told me to go to some mechanic up the street only to find out the guy is out of business. I had to go back to WalMart and The manager in Automotive (Mike) told me to go to my mechanic get the bill and they would reimburse me for it.
After going to my mechanic the cost is 342.11 for parts and labor. When I got intouch with Walmart they told me that the cost is more than 250.00 so now we have to go through insurance and it is going to take 6 months to get reimbursed.
I asked the store to show me anywhere that it was posted that I had to use their Mechanic. It is not posted in the store, on the invoice or even the website.
I am out a car, which means I am going to have to rent one until the work is done on my car. Not to mention that i am going to have to try and fit a baby seat in the rental. And, who is going to pay for the rental.
Beside the fact that they employee damaged the car, he failed to report it. I was told to go to a mechanic that is out of business. Yet, this is the same mechanic that can do the same job for 100.00 less. It is no wonder why he is out of business.
Wal Mart is negligent and a dishonest company
