Last year I received an unexpected phone call from Authorised Publications Ltd offering me exclusivity of window cleaning advertisement in their publication. I was told that I would be contracted to the private medical sector, which sounded good, albeit too good to be true. On the second phone call I was informed it would cost £295.00, so I verbally informed them by telephone that I did not want to go ahead with the publication as it wasn't worth my while. I got an email dated 3/12 at 10.13 from Authorised Publications Ltd stating their proposal to place me in their magazine, not only did I not agree to being placed in their magazine, their default advertisement only has my business name New Horizons on it, they didn't ask for my logo, and more importantly a perspective customer would not know that its a window cleaning business, because they haven't mentioned the nature of the business.
Authorised Publications have no written agreement by me to indicate that I wanted to go ahead with the publication.
So far I have received two letters from debt collection company henriksen Ltd (Carlisle House, Carlisle Street, Goole, East Yorkshire, DN14 5DS, 01430 430000) one dated 25/3 and the second dated 4/4 asking for a £396.51 in total (so far)
As I had already verbally informed Authorised Publications Ltd that I did not want to go ahead with the publication, I am perplexed that it went ahead without my knowledge.
On a printout dated 19/02 which I believe to be false evidence, it asks for my approval of the publication. On the letter it asks for a response by signing the form, which I didn't do, however as an alternative, Nick (no surname include!) says "please telephone me on 02084573067" response was required in 7 working days otherwise the default advertisement would go ahead.
Again, I informed Authorised Publications ltd by telephone that I was not interested in their advertisement, I presumed that would be the end of the matter, but unfortunately they have taken it further.
Kind Regards,
