I received a letter and a check in the amount of $1998.00 in the mail on 3/28. The letter stated that I had been accepted to work for them in their Mystery Shopping Program as a Consumer Service Evaluator. I was to go their website and enter in my USER ID# and password they had provided to activate the check since it was my first time working for them. After activating the check I was to deposit the check into my checking account and wait until it cleared my bank. Once it cleared my bank I was to withdraw the money I needed to complete my 2 assignments and immediately get started with my assigned task. Luckily, I never deposited the check into my account because I left to go out-of-town the day after I received it and just got back home yesterday afternoon. I was a little skeptical about the whole thing but I had just recently applied to be a mystery shopper with a couple of different survey sites online so I thought it might be real. While I was out-of-town I did try to search online for information about the company but I couldn't find anything I just thought I might not have wrote their name down right and would check the letter when I got back home. This morning I said I better go ahead get started with what the letter said to do because I didn't want to miss out on a good opportunity it was true. I went to the website and did what the letter said to do to activate the check. I had decided since I was a little skeptical about it that I wasn't going to run the check through my account I was going to go to either Wal-Mart or another check cashing place to cash because I figured if it was fake they would tell me check was no good and not cash it. After I activated the check I thought I would be able to see more on their website to find out about them but it showed nothing. So I did a google search and that's when I found this site and read everybody else's complaints about these horrible people. Thank goodness I'm not out of any actual money but some people are and this is just not right. It's not right to hurt someone like they are doing. I think whoever does something like this should be prosecuted to the full extent both criminally and civil. It's just sad that someone can do this so to so many people and nothing happens to them. They're just sitting back laughing going on with their life. I wish there was something I could do to just put a little bit of a damper on their day.
