Insurance claims not paid

I bought a English Labrador puppy 01/25 and then purchased
a policy from Petplan because they were highly rated and paid claims
immediatly. I paid for a year's policy upfront and set to enjoying my
puppy, Toby. Had him checked at Vet and he was healthy, week later
he developed a bacterial infection in his stomach. The Vet treated
him for that and three weeks later it had not cleared up so a stronger
antibiotic was given and I submitted one, then another claim, both
were denied as being pre-existing. So I am stuck with $ 585.10 in bills
and a $ 652.00 yearly premium, why be insured, I want my money
back now not in two or three months at a pro-rated amount! I received
no benefit from the insurance.
I emailed them and they hemmed and hawd and said I had to write
a letter demanding a full refund from 01/25/13! I paid for the policy
immediatly and they can darn well reimburse immediatly!
