Consumer Report

I was in LAX airport about to board when my cell phone rang. I answered, and through all of the noise and commotion, I heard the man, Mr. Washington, tell me I had won $5.5million plus a new Mercedes. I explained I was not home in Mich. And was about to board a plane. He would call next day, 3/27 and would come to my house with new car and certified check, also IRS attorney and FBI official. I flew home, not telling my husband, thinking what I would do with $5.5million. Next day I got a call, now I could hear the accent Virgin Islands he said. I knew it was a scam when they said I needed to pay $4,400.00. I said I did not have that money, where was my car? I called him every foul name I could come up with, but still there was a small part that wanted to believe it was true. The next thing he wanted was for me to go to KMart and get a Cash Pak card for $400.00. I did get the card, but for $120.00. He called me again and wanted me to scratch off the number, it was for the computer and that is how they get the money. I felt and still feel, very stupid to have all the RED FLAGS going off, and I gave that low life money that I really need. When he found out I only put 120.00 instead of $400.00, he called and called, until I had to turn my phone off. I was afraid they would come to my house, so I did go to the local police dept. And explain the situation. They never did come, but the calls continued for a couple of days. Sincerely, Ellen J Phone#they used: (Personal Information Removed)
