Choice Home Warranty
Consumer Report

Called in a problem about my stove/oven on about dec 12 choice home sent out a repair company on dec 20. Tech could not fix the problem, needed a part. He would order the part, and it would take about 10 to 15 days. He would contact us after the beginning of the new year we waited till about the 17 of the month, then contacted the repair company and was told the part had not come in yet. Waited another couple of weeks still no part. After several more calls we were told the part would be in and the tech would be out to fix the problem. Finally on 03/04 tech came out to fix the stove, part didnt work. He would have to order a new part, which would take about 10 to 15 days. On 03/05 called choice home again to find out if they could get this resolved in a more timely manner. After speaking to a supervisor was offered $400.00 but that would not replace the stove. My wife wanted the stove fixed. At this time i explained that because of the surgery that i had i needed my stove fixed so that i could prepair my food properly. Again we had to wait for the tech to get the new part. On 03/12 called choice home again this time i was give a different supervisor, and was asked if i would give the company a chance to get the part. On 03/18 tech came out with the new part worked about 2 hours and still could not get the stove fixed. If we could give him another chance on saturday when he wouldnt have any other calls to worry about he would be able to fix the problem. On saturday 03/23 the tech came, worked on the stove for about 30 minutes and finally the stove worked. We had to leave to go to our anniversary dinner. When we came back hame about 3 hours later the stove was not working again. Called choice, but customer service was closed for the weekend. Called on monday 03/25 and was told that our contract had expired on 03/24 and if we wanted them to get the stove fixed we would have to renew our contract. Iwas not very happy with what they were saying i fell that the problem was not resolved and that they should fix the stove. I was basically told tough stuff. There was nothing that could be done because the contract had expired.
