I spent three months working for the Chinook Winds Casino from here in Tucson setting up a air charter operation from southern Arizona to the casino in Lincoln City. After three months I insisted that they pay the invoices for my services. I was told that they would not pay me until the operation was in full operation. This was never a condition of the work I was doing. I was working with the Director of Marketing Mr. Eric Smileuske and was told that was the way it was. I sent a FAX to the General Manager of the Resort with a letter and copy's of the invoices and received a call from Mr. Smileuske telling me to give it up they were not going to pay me. I also received a letter from there lawyer telling me that the tribe was immune from being taken to court and to quit calling or faxing my complaints. Next I sent an Email with a letter and the Invoices to the president of the Tribal Council Asking for her help and again received a email from the lawyer to stop harassing his clients.
I am emailing you in the hope you can help me with this problem. I cannot believe that anyone in this country, even an Indian Tribe has the right to contact someone, accept their services and then refuse to pay them and all the time making me feel that they are making fun of me the whole time.
