I have just been sued, successfully, by these people who are junk debt buyers.
In my case an unpaid balance on a credit card in the above amount. This had been resolved years ago between the credit card, JPMorgan Chase Bank N.A., and myself. They sold a bundle of charged off debt to Midland Funding on or about 11/4.
In November i recieved a summons and complaint from the small claims court in Dunn County, Menomonie
I answered the summons, held mediation then went to court where the judge didn't seem to be all that sure. Apparently i had neglected to issue an affidavit to the courl and Midland. So of course Midland won by default.
I ask for help with an attorney from judicare and was denied. My only source of inome is social security. Is that now in jeoperdy? I have no assets. Will i be harrassed forever by these scavengers?
Several Attorney General have sued this company for illigal procedures. Since my account was written off Chase has either gotten credit from the IRS or their insurance. Can a thirs party debt collector collect on the debt again? When exactly does this cycle end.
It would be quite helpful if you would responde to some of these inquiries.
