On NOvember I received an email from a ArmeniaMatch.com member named Samuel Jerryson Babikian. He said he was a 58 year old man, a goldsmith from Bakersfield, CA; We chatted/emailed/talked on the phone for a month. Then he asked me to invest $52,000 in gold and told me where to wire the money; I sent him $25K and got a receipt from ZenGold; Then after 2 weeks, he said he was stuck in London because he didn't have money to pay for the VAT; He needed $50,000 to pay the VAT for a total of 61 kg's of gold he had purchased (his and mine, he sent me his receipts too); I didn't send any money until he sent me a sample of 22 carat gold which I had evaluated at local jewelry store. Then I believed him and sent him $15,000 to cover the VAT, insurance and shipping for the 1KG's of gold (mine); He then pleaded, apologized, pressured and used God to ask for the remaining $35,000 which I stupidly believed him and sent it to him on 2/10. After he sent me a fake VAT receipt, I knew I was scammed! I reported it to my bank, the scammers bank (Lloyds in UK), the local police, FBI, FTC, attorney general's office. Nobody's doing anything to help me except closing the scammers 3 accounts.
