I was attracted to a pop-up ad on trial packs of Purasilk and BellaGenix Cream, both of which cost US$4.95. No terms and condition was ever mentioned during the order. My credit card was billed US$4.95 x2 on 11 Jan. I waited but received no product. Sensing that I might have been scammed, I did nothing since the amount was small. However, on 13 March I received my credit card statement and was horrified that a further US$99.95 has been billed to Purasilk and the transaction was done on 12 Feb. I emailed the company twice but received no response. I went to the bank today on 14 March and found out further that another transaction about the same amount had been billed to Purasilk in the month of March (I am yet to receive my statement). There are numerous websites on Purasilk but I failed to get to the site where I made my first order. I found out the "terms and conditions" sites, one addressed in UK and another in US. Both mentioned that after a 14 day trial, if we did nothing, the company would assume that we are enjoying the product and they would send us a full pack of the products every 30 days until we call to cancel the purchase. Fine. Since I did not receive anything in the first place, how could they assume that I am ENJOYING my product? Even if the postman had sent the product to a wrong address, it could not have been possible that such products were sent without a registered mail, of which my signature and ID number would be required. I had to block my credit card and wonder if I could get my money back. Please do something before more people lose their money.
