Amazon offers a service called "Fulfilled by Amazon". They basically warehouse your merchandise and sell and ship for you. What they fail to tell you when selling you on the idea is that their fees are more than the price of your items and that you have to pay all shipping to their warehouses. Okay, so shipping aside, after the shipping is out of the way, you should be making some money off the venture but no, wait! Their fees suddenly become arbitrary. It's not just a percentage of the sale price and it's not standard. A $5 item may net you an 11cent return or you may end up owing Amazon. They have charged as much as $5.25 in fees for a $5 book of mine that they sold and they charged me $5.35 for a $3 book they sold. At this point I am wishing I had never shipped them a single book.
